Frequently Asked Questions
Should I eat before I come on the Tour & Taste?
I suggest having an early/light breakfast before the tour, and then you will probably be ready for dinner later in the day.
Can you cater for special diets?
I can cater for many diets, however vegan is unfortunately too tricky. Please get in touch directly with any specific requirements or questions
Is there lots of history in the tour?
All of my tours include a substantial amount of history, don’t you worry! It is worth noting I aim to make my tours interesting rather than boring, therefore you’ll hear the unique stories behind the places we visit and learn about the amazing food we are eating.
Where does the tour start from?
Each tour has its own starting point. Once you have made your booking you will be sent an email confirming the start location.
What size is are the tour groups?
The maximum size is usually 10 people per tour. Minimum 4 or 5 people required for tour to go ahead (mixed booking groups).
Who is the tour suitable for?
Anyone who loves culture, history and food! Little ones may get bored quickly, therefore as much as I love them, this is more of an adult only tour. Saying that I have taken children in the past, so just email me and we can discuss it further!
Do I need to bring anything with me?
I would advise bringing some water, and wearing comfortable shoes. Also please check the weather prior to the tour as you may need a rain coat, umbrella or sun cream!
I can’t find a tour that suits what I am looking for, can you help?
Yes, send me your requests and I will find the best tour for you.
Are there bathrooms available?
This can be tricky as we don’t enter all venues as many are very small, so please try to use the bathroom prior to the tour starting. I know it can be a bit embarrassing but if you do need the loo during my tour please tell me asap and I will try to find a solution.
Do I need to buy anything on the tour?
No, all costs are covered in the price of your tour ticket. Buying at the suppliers is not compulsory or expected. However, if you do wish to purchase anything, I will make time for you to do so.
Do tours still go ahead in bad weather?
I run my tours in all weathers, so please wear appropriate clothing. If the weather is looking really terrible I can sometimes reschedule by an hour or so. I will contact you the day before if this is the case.
What is the refund policy?
Once you have booked Tour & Taste, I do not usually offer refunds. If you are unable to make it you are more than welcome to pass your ticket to a friend to enjoy the tour.
What if I am late for the tour?
I will wait for you for up to 10 minutes, after this time I will start the tour. If you ring and let me know in advance, it may be possible for you to join the tour at another location along the route.
